Rules for creating Tables in oracle

      Rules for creating Tables in Oracle :

  1. Table name should start with alphabets.

Ex: EMP123   à Valid

       123EMP  à Invalid

  1. Table name should not contain any space and special characters except dollar ‘$’, underscore ‘_’, and hash ‘#’.

Ex: EMP*123 à Invalid

       EMP 123 à Invalid (Contain space inside the name)

       EMP_123  à Valid

  1. Table name can contain maximum 30 characters.
  2. Table can contain maximum 1000 columns.
  3. Table can contain unlimited no of rows.
